Stephen F. Becker is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is on the Criminal Justice Act Panel of the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania for which he also serves on the selection committee. Besides holding a law degree, he has a Ph.D. in physics* and is Professor Emeritus at Bucknell University.

*Stephen Becker can also be retained as 1) an expert in physics, mathematics (including statistics) and related areas, 2) as a consultant to prepare defense counsel to cross examine the government's scientific expert, or 3) as co-counsel to conduct the cross-examination himself.
